Putting the basic measurement second
It is kind of like putting a satellite navigation system on a tricycle. Some vendors would have you believe that accessories are paramount. They want you to think that complementary measurements are more important than the basic rheological measurement. Good scientists know that the complementary information can be valuable, if it supplements accurate rheological measurements. Bad Science results when the basic measurement is flawed (see High Inertia & Locking the Phase Angle), everything after that is meaningless.
At TA Instruments our research and development is focused on improving the basic rheological measurement. Our patented new magnetic bearing rheometer, the AR-G2, adds decades to low-end torque control. AR-G2 customers can study the rheological properties of their materials over an unprecedented range of conditions. Our recently introduced accessories like the Extensional Viscosity Fixture, Pressure Cell, Upper Heated Plates, and UV accessory, add valuable information to sound rheological measurements.
You can count on future developments from TA Instruments to further extend the range of quality rheological measurements.
